About

AnyDrop is a browser-based, peer-to-peer file and text sharing tool that works across Mac, PC, iOS, Android, and Smart TVs without any app installation or account creation. It uses end-to-end encrypted WebRTC connections to transfer files and messages directly between devices, with servers only used for device discovery signaling. Users can share files up to 500 MB, send voice notes, sync clipboard snippets, and collaborate on shared notes in real time.

Problem

Sharing files and text between different operating systems (e.g., iPhone to Windows) is cumbersome and often requires third-party apps or cloud storage accounts.

For

Anyone needing to quickly share files or text across different devices and platforms without installing apps or creating accounts

How it works

AnyDrop uses WebRTC to establish direct, end-to-end encrypted peer-to-peer connections between devices discovered via local Wi-Fi or Magic Link pairing, transferring files and messages without storing data on servers.
