Chromatic Tuner is a native macOS app that uses Core Audio and the YIN pitch detection algorithm to deliver high-accuracy tuning directly from your hardware input. It supports 15 instrument presets, 8 historical temperaments, and two display modes (LED bar and Peterson-style strobe). The app runs fully offline with no account required and is sold as a one-time purchase with lifetime 1.x updates.
The app sits directly on Core Audio, reads input from any USB interface or built-in mic at full sample rate, and runs the YIN algorithm to display pitch in real time with sub-50ms latency.
