Deputies
Engineering agents for delegated work on your own infrastructure

Deputies is an open-source, self-hostable control plane for running background AI coding agents on your existing infrastructure. It manages sandboxes, work queues, logs, and artifacts while letting teams assign engineering tasks via web UI, Slack, GitHub, or webhooks and review the resulting output. The system is built on a Node API, Postgres database, and React frontend, and is designed to integrate into existing deployment patterns.
Users assign tasks via web UI, Slack, GitHub, or webhooks; Deputies manages the sandbox environment, work queue, and artifacts; developers then review transcripts, diffs, and outputs before publishing a pull request or iterating.
