Liberapay is a recurrent donations platform operated by a non-profit organization that enables donors to financially support creators of free software, free art, and free knowledge. Donors set up recurring contributions on a weekly, monthly, or yearly basis, funding them in advance through Stripe or PayPal. Creators receive a stable crowdfunded income and can share funds with team members without needing a legal entity.
Donors find a creator, set a recurring donation amount and period, fund it in advance via Stripe or PayPal, and Liberapay distributes the funds to the creator on the chosen schedule.
