Readplace
Save articles with one click, read them later. Privacy-first.

Readplace is a read-it-later app and Pocket alternative that lets users save articles with a browser extension and read them in a clean, distraction-free reader view. It includes AI-powered TL;DR summaries, PDF extraction via vision OCR, and a public reader view that requires no account. Built by a solo developer in Australia with a focus on privacy, data portability, and transparency.
Users install a Firefox or Chrome extension to save articles with one click; saved articles are processed through Mozilla Readability for clean rendering and DeepSeek AI for TL;DR summaries, accessible via a web app or mobile browser.
Individuals who want to save and read articles later without ads, tracking, or losing access to their data
