The Lens
Patent and scholarly search and analysis as an open digital public good

The Lens is a free, open-access platform for searching, analyzing, and reporting on global patents and scholarly literature. It offers a data-driven report builder called Lens Reports for creating shareable, real-time research outputs, as well as a REST API for programmatic access to its full corpus. Privacy and openness are central to its mission as a digital public good.
Users can search and analyze patents and scholarly works through a web interface or REST API, then compile findings into shareable, data-driven reports linked to live Lens data.
